WCU’s Master of Project Management is the first master’s degree of its kind in the United States at a nationally accredited institution and the first one to be accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 1983. The program was initiated with the active sponsorship, cooperation and support of the PMI, the premiere, worldwide, non-profit professional organization for professional project managers.
What Our Graduates are Saying
“I have created relationships in the online environment that I never thought would be possible. I can call on these relationships down the road to network among a wide variety of industries and people.”
Ronald W. Law
Process Control Manager, General Motors
“The WCU program takes you beyond Gantt charts and critical path to help you explore those areas that will help you grow professionally to meet the project leadership challenges in the future.”
C. Keith Martin
Senior Project Manager, BB&T
The program strives to be the pre-eminent comprehensive educational program for professional project managers, to advance the project management profession through teaching, research and service, and to develop leaders in the project management profession.
The program offers a fully online Master of Project Management (MPM) Degree, designed for project managers with a minimum of two years’ work experience, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management with classes both online and in Asheville. The certificate is of particular interest to workplace professionals or military personnel who are looking for certification rather than a degree.
